“Pay no attention to other more negative reviews about this place...This hotel is great! Really friendly staff, comfortable room and really close to local amenities. When was the last time you lived 6 minutes from an IMAX theatre? Exactly! The neighbourhood outside does occasionally have the odd sketchy individual wondering about but that's typical of any city. I lived in London, UK for 32 years and saw much worse on occasion. There is a "Gentleman's Club! on location but there's no pressure to participate. All in all, the Fillmores has character and is a fine economy place to stay very close to one of the busiest shopping, dining, and entertainment areas in Toronto and Id stay there again any time...and likely will!”

"Basic no frills Hotel. You get a private room with your own bathroom/shower for a good price. Can stay for a week here for less than the price of a single night at some other places in the area. On the 2nd floor surprisingly quiet considering you are above a bar."

"The Hotel is perfect for gentlemen who travel to Toronto , excellent location with walking distance to almost anything in downtown Toronto and at reasonable cost. Filmores Hotel is clean and safe and my room in 2nd floor was almost quiet, only in the weekend you can hear some voices from night club down floor. There is Gentlemen club down , be careful if you rather to travel here with family. The staff are kind and helpful. "

"The hotel is in a less attractive part of Downtown but perfect for my needs. I didn't feel unsafe walking around. The staff in the hotel were fantastic and friendly. The room was very basic but clean and the bed was fine. I had no issues with hot water once you'd left it running for a minute or so. Having the strip club adjoined to the hotel was a bonus!"

"The hotel and room were both immaculately clean. This place is just 2 blocks from Ryerson University, which is where I needed to be most of the week, so this was amazingly convenient. Also, it's just a 25 minute walk from Union Station, so if the weather's good and you don't have tons of luggage, it's a pretty easy trip."
