Thoughts About the Location

“Before arriving at this hotel, I was considering going back to the states and forgetting about my weekend in Montreal. The night before, we had encountered a speeding ticket from a trooper, a jerky guy working at the border, and had arrived at a different hotel that we had reservations for the night at during the busy night time traffic. On top of that, the staff at the other hotel weren’t friendly and definitely were rude about the fact that we couldn’t speak French very well. I am SO glad we didn’t leave, however. The minute we arrived at the Hotel Place D’Armes, the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. When we walked into the lobby to check in, the concierge informed us that for 40$ more, we could upgrade from our room with a king bed that we had booked to a junior suite! Our room was AMAZING! She was also extremely friendly and helpful, telling us different places we could go fro some fun at night, as well as recommending heading up to the rooftop patio for a drink before we went out. Another major plus for me was that the entire staff was very nice about the fact that they had to speak English when talking to us. Next time I make the tip up to Montreal, I will DEFINITELY be staying here agin! Great location, beautiful hotel and wonderful service.”

“In overall, it's been a fantastic experience for us. We spent only 3 days in Montreal and we were very happy with the choice made. The staff's were courteous despite the extreme weather conditions, they were extremely helpful especially with valet parking. We've been offered to take up a much more modern addition of the hotel with only extra 10 dollars. The room was clean, nicely presented and overlooked the old Montreal. ”

“The hotel is so nice. I like the style, decor and furniture of this hotel so much. Location is very near to Basilica Notre Dame, tourist area and Old Montreal. Just 5 minute walk to subway and China town. I also like the bathroom and the new, beautiful massage bath tube. Relaxing in hot water after a long cold day is supper.”
