"Hotel Champ de Mars is quaint and full of character. In response to other reviewers, yes it is older, and yes the rooms are small but because of that our stay felt cozy and warm. The only time we spent in our room was to sleep, as we were too busy exploring Montreal. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do, and allowed us to take full advantage of the Metro. Staff made coming and going easy by providing with keys to all the doors, that way we didn't need to worry about returning by a certain hour."

"Breakfast was supposed to be included in that price. The restaurant opened at 8 am and I had to discuss 15 min and show my reservation to the staff member to get a coffee and light breakfast! The room was cold. The bathroom was not clean and in decrepitude. Horrible experience. I stayed in 5 different places over my trip from us to Canada. I traveled extensively and I have to say that this place was one of the worst hotel EVER that I have experienced in my life"
