“I have been coming to The Ivy for at least 7 years. I was last here in April on a short business trip. Both times the most difficult and unpleasant part was the lack of welcome at the reception. It was very bizarre to have my identification photocopied and held for a week with my details of my credit card in an unsecured location. I cherish my privacy and see no reason for these arcane so-called security measures. The last time someone photocopied my passport for safe keeping was in 1987. This lovely boutique hotel is just not in the hospitality business. The breakfast is not inspiring me to return either,”

“This is a small (4 rooms) boutique hotel nestled within a posh women's club, and is the most fantastic place I have ever stayed. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was super spacious with a great king-size bed and a massive curved-screen TV (free Netflix!). The bathroom had a separate bath tub and shower and there were scented bath salts provided. The bathroom floor was heated! There is an 'honour bar' where you may pour yourself a drink and then just write it down and pay as you check out. Coffee and non-alcoholic beverages are free. The on-site restaurant is one of the best in the city. I could go on, but suffice it to say, if you're going to be in Toronto and can afford it, stay there!”
