“I liked the whole situation. The room was small and right over Queen Street, so I got the whole sonic ambience of old Toronto every day and night. The music at night, and starting at noon on the weekends was out of this world. The feature act only cost $5.00 cover charge for hotel guests. The staff treated me like family, as did the musicians. You could wander down from your room in the morning until noon and have a really good, quiet breakfast for under $10.00. You could walk to places like the Art Gallery of Ontario or the Royal Ontario Museum, or just saunter up and down Queen Street, going into record stores, Steve's music store, book shops or colourful pubs like the Horseshoe Tavern. You could take the Osgoode subway or Queen or Dundas street cars, and end up anywhere you wanted to in Toronto within minutes.”

“The hotel is very close to the Downtown. Subway station Osgoode and 24h Rexall store are within one block, City Hall and Opera - close. There are plenty of places to eat in the vicinity, including the hotel's restaurant. WiFi works good. Jazz concerts didn't bother me, in my street-facing room I could barely hear them. Finally, free toasts for breakfast are good!”
